What is Lifecycle?
At CoachBright our vision is a world in which every young person’s destination is based on their choice, ambitions and talents, rather than their background. Our Lifecycle Coaching programmes aim to make this a reality for university students from low income backgrounds.
Lifecycle is a coaching programme for young people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds during their transition into higher education and progression towards future employment.
Why do we need it?
Social mobility is at crisis point in the UK and higher education has a huge role to play. It’s about more than just ensuring fair access, it is also about progression. Not just supporting young people to get into higher education, but to progress and flourish when they get there.
Lifecycle is our programme to address this.
what is the national picture?
Why should partner with us?
Our Lifecycle programme can support you to address the following risks on the Equality of Opportunity Risk Register:
Risk 6, On course: Insufficient academic support
Students are able to discuss areas of their course that they are struggling with during coaching sessions, enabling them to work through these challenges and discover their own solutions or sources of external support.
Risk 7, On course: Insufficient personal support
Students receive holistic support from a certified coach on their wider lives and university experience, enabling them to make the most of the opportunities and resources available to them.
Risk 12, Progression: Progression from higher education
Students are able to use their coaching sessions to discuss their goals, values and career options, to build motivation and resilience when taking the steps they need to reach them.
